Breathing Spaces

Welcome to our extremely spacious and well-ventilated indoor and outdoor spaces! With the inside out, ﬁlled with greenery and natural light, our centre has life humming all around. The
children, our little bees, are constantly buzzing in and out, with rich learning opportunities in the meticulously planned classrooms, corridors, social areas, clean-up areas, art and sensory spaces, and eating areas. The vibrancy of green emitted by our plants spreads cheer and life in our setup. With enough space dedicated to each aspect of learning, our classrooms are fully equipped. Prepared environment, yet open and spacious. Large spaces imply uninterrupted movement and kinesthetic opportunities without any obstacles. The trained Montessori adults are active participants in the learning process and carefully alter the materials and challenges. With a balance of fresh air, light, opportunity, and challenge, there isn’t a single moment of dullness in our classrooms and learning areas.

Expansive Outdoors

A sprawling, open-to-the-sky, 1800-square-foot outdoor school setup needs no introduction. It screams opportunities for the physical well-being of every child. With enough space to run, roll, walk, crawl, jump, hop, and do everything that our little learners enjoy doing, we ensure that there are abundant opportunities to support varied gross and ﬁne motor skills. A lot is happening in our extravagant outdoors; we conduct a host of sports and well-being activities like meditation, yoga, gardening, sowing, and compost-building too. The huge outdoor area also presents us with multiple ﬁeld days where children understand and comprehend the functional nature of their surroundings through the textures, fragrances, names, and characteristics of the plants and habitats of our house pets. Working and playing in natural light strengthens the vision of our young learners. We also put this natural light to use by performing various science experiments.

Sustainability Education

Wood, fabric, plants, sunlight, fresh air, kindness, compassion, consideration, and care—all these describe our ideology, our materials, and our program. We believe in an organic school of thought, and hence all our apparatus is essentially derived from natural resources. The wooden Montessori materials for play and learning are extremely safe. The soft tones of this apparatus and furniture bring a soothing eﬀect to the school’s vibe. The fabric is organic, sustainable, and child-friendly, too. Our play gym set and swings are designed to meet a child’s growth and developmental needs. Each object is hand-picked with extreme care and thoughtfulness to ensure safety and directed learning. Natural sunlight spreads brightness and cheer to our children, and there is no moment of dullness or gloom. With all these, they imbibe the concept of harmonious living and care.

The Artsy Gazebo

Our art gazebo is one of the distinguishing features of our tastefully designed setup. Surrounded by luscious green plants, the gazebo blends majestically with the outdoors. It spells a castle-like charm on the minds of our learners and parents and aesthetically appeals to them. Children enjoy the art sessions that are conducted here. They place their canvas boards and colours, and the natural ambience inspires them to observe and depict their imaginations and understandings. Our Gazebo makes way for a perfect pretend play set-up, such as tea time or the enactment of a story. Our young learners sit, play, and learn in groups and learn to function in small social groups. They care, they share, and they appreciate each other’s work and skills.

Water Spa

Our latest addition, our huge sensory water table, is a hit amongst our learners. It is a perfect amalgamation of fun and learning. The design has been conceptualised and carefully crafted inhouse to serve our children. It is sturdy and reachable, with built-in spaces to accommodate tubs and mugs. Napkins are handy too, on the well-placed hooks. Children engage in water play, perform science activities related to water, and learn cleaning and washing activities. The table is full of splashes, giggles, and explorations by our humming bees.

Space Heroes

Instead of taking instructions from their teachers and replicating them with the study material, children at TBBM are constantly engaging and learning, thanks to our space heroes! Our carefully designed developmental challenges add to our children’s heroics. Thoughtful ramps, carefully placed bars, idyllic shoe-consoles, ﬂoating libraries, open shelves, and calm ﬂoor mats are all part of the space heroes! These space heroes are inviting, intriguing, and provide multiple opportunities to support various stages and aspects of development. Think of our shoe console as a carefully designed social corner, so the children sit, wear their footwear independently, share
their morning and day-end banter, and wave goodbye to each other. Just like our show console, our ramp is perfect for toddlers to be challenged and engaged. If you take a close look at each area in the space, it is a hero because it is beyond the furniture and material—it holds an idea, aids learning, and scaﬀolds children’s growth and development.
